5 June 2014 (sunny with cool wind)

Royal Navy Rescue Exercise - no it wasn't Dools
one of the many rabbits at the Sandhills caravam park
Today was our last full day on the Isle of Wight so we just took it easy.  Slept late, showered, had breakfast and went down the road to the Propeller Inn for a coffee but upon discovering they only had filter coffee, opted for tea instead.  At least they had a great internet connection and we got to skype Brody and Georgie who both seem very happy and coping well.
Headed back to the caravan to get some washing done as it is a great day for drying with lots of sunshine and a fresh wind blowing.  Pete even got to wash and hang up some towels today, so that kept him happy!  He was especially happy when skyping the kids when Brody showed him all his little babies, neatly folded and lined up in the airing cupboard – I swear it brought a tear to his eye.

Had some lunch and Pete and I went for a walk on the beach enjoying the sunshine and fresh air.  We catch the ferry tomorrow at 8.30am and Dools will be dropping us off at the South Downs Way where we hope to make some good headway on our way to the Peels as there is a weather front coming over the country from the southwest on Saturday.  Hopefully we’ll make it to their place before it hits.  So we’ll leave you with a few images of some of the wildlife and flowers from England and the Isle of Wight so far.

A couple of photos for Mum and Tria - some spectacular flowers over here
